MANIT Students at Strike against the Director

Following the suicidal death of our 2nd year student – Rahul Pathak, a protest against the current Director K.S.Pandey was observed at the Institute’s gate at around 4pm 15th Nov 2008. The director, K.S. Pandey is responsible for the suicide incident and a number of ill treatments to the students and their parents for the past 3 years. The students requested the concerned authorities to remove the director from his post and from the college immediately. The students of MANIT condemned the Director for both the death of Rahul Pathak and various illegal activities happening in the Institute since his arrival to the institute.

And the protest went on without any violence until midnight when the police forces started beating up the students and tried to break the protest with force. There were many casualties including 5 head injuries. The students were completely without any violence and demanded their objectives with a simple protest at the institute’s gate by blocking the road with themselves sitting on the road. The protest went on peacefully till around midnight but was disturbed by the approaching police forces with lathi charges. There were many casualties amongst the students including 5 head injuries. And within minutes, the police forced all the students inside their hostels. A little later, the police started arresting any student found outside the hostels. 16 students were caught that night including innocent students who were not involved in the protest. This is how they suppressed the protest for that night. But as everyone knows, the protest is not over yet and now we are taking more serious and better ways to reach objectives.

Dude this is a Very Very Responsible Alumni of your Institute. Considering the Conditions of the industry; I just have one Request....who so ever is doing this Neta Giri from Student's Side...STOP IT for god's sake......coz' this is going to help no one...Appear for exams and make a career for youself.

Once your exams are over then go to sanjeev Saxena's house ...thrash him like a Dog...take him to the Director then thrash him again...and then you 'll see the Change..It will be instant...as I have said earlier..the root of every problem that this college is facing is Sanjeev Saxena.
He'll eat up your placements..your jobs.
Already the HR team that looks after UG tech hirings have blacklisted MANIT coz' Aruna Saxena always talks about RadhaRaman first and then MANIT when it comes to Campus.

Reach out to old Student leaders like Manjit Pandey ,Arun Gupta ,Rahul Ranjan ,Reshmi Choudhary...these folks may arrange some offcampuses for you guys......

The callousness of the MANIT administration can be seen from the fact that no one from the administration helped the father or attended the funeral of the departed Rahul Pathak! The teachers-turned-administrators now say he was like their son, but is it possible that a parent leaves his/ her son's dead body all alone?! Where is all decency gone? Only 4-5 students could make it to his funeral as all other students were forced to evacuate the hostels and leave the city.
A fellow student dies, untimely and sadly, taking his own life; and when students react in utter helplessness, sadness and despair, they are beaten and rendered homeless. Where is all love gone? Love and compassion gone? These teachers-turned-administrators have been displaying only their POWER and no love or comapssion! Are they human-beings? Is there any element of humanity in them? If only Rahul waited for sometime and had let the weak moment pass away, these people are not worth dying for! But be assured, these people will have to pay for every tear that fell and is falling from Rahul's father's eyes! The Director, the others, the rubber stamp COE, all will have to pay for the pain Rahul went thru by taking his own life, every pang of pain of his father, each and every tear!
If only the exams had not been postponed and the academic calender not altered with no prior notice and with the disapproval of the deans, much of this tragedy could have been avoided.Another life could have been saved, of the student from N-E who got drowned, only if the academic calender was adhered to. He would not have gone for the picnic if the exams were held as per schedule.
If only the HRD Ministry would have acted in time. But will they act now? Despite so many learned angels of people repeatedly saying that things are very wrong at MANIT, all the enquiry reports, MHRD kept playing with time.
